The Piera's Bridal Family

At Piera’s Bridal Couture we believe every bride should have a dress shopping “experience” she will never forget and find a dress that is perfect for her big day!  This is why we carefully hand select gowns from some of the industries top designers and have a staff of friendly, and knowledgeable bridal stylists that will work one-on-one with you to help you find the dress of your dreams!  Piera’s Bridal Couture is a family owned and run boutique style bridal salon in Shelby Township, Michigan and we love helping brides “dress dreams” come true!

Piera has been in the wedding dress business for over 30 years!  She opened her first store in 1986, and after over 20 years and a very quick 1 year “retirement” she opened Piera’s Bridal Couture in the fall of 2009.  Piera has always had a love for and passion for wedding gowns and brides. As a young girl in Sicily she remembers watching the brides in awe as they would come out of the church in her town, and she still feels the same excitement and love when she sees the brides in our store!

Family is the most important thing in the world to PIera, and she is so happy to have many of her family members working in the store!  She is joined by her granddaughters Piera and Gabriella, her daughter Nella, and her two daughter-in-laws Jill and Marina. We are even more lucky because each member of our staff feel like family as well!

Each bride-to-be will work one-on-one with a bridal stylist to search for the perfect wedding gown!  Each of our bridal stylists have helped hundreds of brides find their dream dress and are very knowledgeable of the dresses we have in store as well as all of the current bridal trends.  They style each bride from head to toe with not only the perfect dress, but beautiful accessories that totally complete the look! And before you are ready to walk down the aisle you will have a few alteration appointment with our amazing seamstresses!  They are all experienced in bridal alterations and will be sure your gown fits exactly the way it should.

01: What is the price range of the dresses in your store? +

The bridal gowns in our store typically start around $1200 and go up to around $7000, the majority of the bridal gowns in our store are between $1800-$3000.

02: When should I start shopping for a wedding dress? How long does an ordered dress take to come in? +

It is really never too early to start shopping for your bridal gown! Once your date is set and you selected a venue we should be your next stop! Usually girls will shop about a year to 10 months before the wedding date. On average we recommend ordering your bridal gown around 7-9 months before the wedding because they can take around 5-6 months to come in and we like to leave time for alterations. But we do our best to work with all timelines when it comes to purchasing a bridal gown!

03: My wedding is less than 6 months away, can I still order a dress? +

YES! We work closely with all of our designers to try to get you the dress of your dreams no matter what. Some designers offer quick delivery options, or will even have dresses in stock so we can get them for our more last minute shoppers! Purchasing sample gowns is also an option if a dress cannot be ordered.

04: Do you need an appointment to shop at Piera's Bridal? +

YES! Everything is now by appointment only!

05: How many people am I allowed to bring with me? +

Piera’s Bridal is a smaller boutique style store and we have a small seating area for your entourage. If you are shopping for bridal gowns you may bring up to 3 additional guests with you to the appointment (you+3). If you are shopping for bridesmaids dresses, mother of the bride/groom, prom, flowergirl or communion dresses there can be a total of 3 people at the appointment (including the person shopping).
We understand you may want to bring more guests to the appointment, and we wish we could accomodate more but we want everyone who is i our store to have a comfprtable and positive shopping experience and that works best with smaller groups. We are happy to help accomodate additional guests via Facetime or at additional appointments. As of December 2023 we are offering paid private VIP appointments for brides who are looking to shop with 5 or more guests.
